Zachary’s by the Lake, Lakeview
Zachary’s by the Lake recently changed management and head chef. With a reworked menu, it appears to be in great hands. The menu has a balance of classic seafood/grill with some interesting items to boot. I visited on a day where they had boiled crawfish available, which proved to be a great meal.

Louisiana Products, CBD
Louisiana Products is a small grocery/deli that I frequent for small items (drinks, snacks) as well as meals (breakfast and lunch). They feature daily specials from their kitchen, as well as prepared sandwiches and salads daily. However, today I wanted to share with you one of their less-know, but best, offerings.
Between the Bread, CBD
Between the Bread is a sandwich/salad/soup shop I used to frequent for lunch at work. I recently stopped by to see if they’re still producing quality sandwiches that I used to remember.
Velvet Cactus, Lakeview
Velvet Cactus (link) is a Mexican themed restaurant that recently opened in the Lakeview area. A few friends of mine told me they weren’t impressed with this place. I’m not sure where their disappointment came from, because I was very pleased.
